Enjoy an easy 20 minute hike to Molly's cache on the Elbert Creek Trail. No need to leave the path until you get very close...remember this because the compass may direct you to do so because of the switchbacks. You will gain about 472 feet in altitude form the entry point of the trail to the cache.Hey, all you adventurous geocachers...Molly's first cache includes an FTF REWARD!! Be the first to seek and find the cache and the reward is yours! You will find it after easily crossing the creek and after a short, pleasant walk through the aspens and wildflowers. Most people are enroute to the Hermosa Cliffs when they are on this trail...after you find Molly's cache, be sure to continue on to the top of the cliffs, where you will be thrilled at one of the most beautiful views in the area. It is about a two hour hike each way to the top of the cliffs.
The cache is in a plastic container...enjoy the contents and please sign, date and leave comments for Molly.
UPDATE!!! August 1, 2013: It is almost four years since we placed Molly's Cache!! We have recently been to the location to check the condition of the container, etc. In honor of the fourth anniversary and also in memory of our dear, sweet Molly, who passed away in November of 2012, we have added a "Fourth Anniversary Reward" for the first geocacher to visit Molly's Cache after the date of this notice. Have fun hiking and looking for Molly's Cache!
07/10/2017 By Alyxx_world Cool find. At first the clues made no sense, but once we found where it was the clues all fell into place. Got some great pics on the pretty hike.
