Collect information from two signs at the posted coordinates, then follow the dirt road about 3/4 mile to find the cache at the calculated coordinates. I hiked from the highway to place this cache and "Doug likes the views" but other options are possible. Please follow "leave no trace" guidelines if you choose wheeled travel and don't make ruts. Be aware the road is dirt with some overhanging bushes and narrow spots.
Highway 139 is sometimes closed for avalanche control or dangerous conditions. The cache is about four feet above ground level and right along the road, so it should be possible to find it if the highway is open.
For the north coordinates, N39 3A.BBC using the sign that says "Look-out Mtn Road South Canyon" (these words are on more than one line).
A = the number of letters in the first word on the second line
B = the number of E's on the sign (don't count the BLM logo)
C = 1 plus the number of letters in the last word on the second line
For the west coordinates, W108 49.XYZ using the sign that has 245 at the top and "open to" 6 brown decals showing activities. Use all six decals for each question.
X = the total number of walking sticks
Y = the total number of people plus the number of horses plus the number of bicycles
Z = the number of horses
When you find the cache, you might notice that it has a different name. I changed my mind on what to call it.
