There are two ways to go to the trail, you can ride the Independance SuperChair at peak 7 ($10 fee, if open) or you can hike up the mountain to it. I rated the Terrain for people using the lift.

This is my first Geocache to hide. So I put it on my favorite hike in Summit County. On a nearby rockfield look for the Yellow–Bellied Marmots and wildflowers. In the afternoon look out for thunderstorms and flies. The trail is at the top of the lift. Have fun finding this Geocache.

Wow this guy hasn’t been found in over a year! I’d tried to find this in the past but it’s tough to get to in the winter in deep snow. Fortunately the way it’s hidden, it’s a few feet off the ground so it could be found in the winter!

I parked on Ski Hill road and hiked directly to it. It was 1:20 of heart pounding straight up hill hiking. Fantastic views; cache in great shape.
