One of the best irrigation projects that has been carried out in what was a part of Routt County, but is now known as Moffat County. This project was started in 1904 and took six years to finish. It was said to irrigate nearly 4000 acres of land. It is said that $4000 worth of powder was used.

Found this today on a trip across Moffat County. I'd been wanting to visit this horseshoe bend of the Yampa for some time just to check it out and this cache gave me just a little extra incentive. I saw that the cache needed to be replaced, so I brought a new container. Easy to find, coordinates were dead on.

Found it! This one needs some TLC! The plastic container needs replaced as it is so brittle I was afraid I was going to break it myself! Loved this one though!! Neat place!

Just moved from Ohio to Craig Colorado, thought I would explore the area, and what better way to do that than geocaching. Really enjoyed this hide. The scenery is beautiful, the tunnel was awesome and the wildlife was enjoyable to watch. TFTC.

PS recommend a new container be placed, the lid is falling apart.

Found this one and many snakes! No rattlers tho! We spent a long time here taking pictures and seeing wildlife! Very nice area!! We caught a baby blue bellied lizard out of the geocache hole :) We had a great geocaching day with the Sadvar family. TFTC TFTF
