Lots of trails in the National Forest. Many wildflowers in the summer. This is a year-round cache.
This is named after my Golden Retriever who thinks the woods are her special place.

Best way to get here is to take Wildernest Road off of Highway 9. This turns into Ryan Gulch Road. Go about a mile up the road, past Salt Lick Condos on the left. Turn left onto Buffalo road, there is parking in the cul-de-sac.

Take any of the trails leading into the woods from the parking area.

During the winter the trails are usually packed down, but if there has been a very recent snow, the terrain may be more difficult and may require snowshoes. This is only during or right after a 6 or more inch snow.
