You can hike or bike to the cache site. Located at 7200'so bring water!
Located in the Greenland Open Space on the southern edge of a previous wildland fire, the cache contains fire-related items, including some toy ("Matchbox" size) fire trucks, refrigerator magnets, books for kids, fire safety pamphlets, etc. If you're a fire/EMS/law enforcement person, bring other like items for the cache. The cache is a medium sized Tupperware style container.
Park west of I-25 at the entrance to the Greenland Open Space. The cache is a few miles from the parking lot. Go up-hill when the trail forks.

Out doing a bike ride (wanted to test my gravel grinder on dirt/sand tracks and compare to my mountain bike so I know the limitations) and cache time. A nice ride in and with the sound of thunder in the distance (Springs area) I decided to pedal back but not before picking up a few more caches. A nice quick one that I wasn't sure if there was more to it based on the name (not what it might of been but a nice cache still). Appreciate the placement! Time to move on.

Thanks for the nice cache in a great spot! I made my way up to the area after work today to grab a needed cache for a challenge. I found this one quickly in a very neat area. Signed and stamped the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the fun hunt and placing this one for us all to enjoy.

A 9+ mile hike through the open space today picking up the geocaches that I hadn't found yet. I think next time I might have to ask Back Country Horseman if I can borrow her horse or at least hitch a ride! TFTC SL
