Trail is access road to abandoned mine, closed to traffic but open for hiking, biking and cross country skiing. You are above 10,000 feet and the grade on the road can be steep, be sure to have lots of water.
Access is off Fredonia Gulch Road, parking is scarce, if you have a high clearance car, there is one parking spot at the gate.

First Colorado geocache with part of the wedding party!!!! Our good friends first date was on a ski mountain. Then they were engaged on a ski mountain. This week they got married on a ski mountain!! We're staying in one of the mansion cabins nearby for the week. Thanks for the cache!

55Connie and I decided to venture out after a bit of the snow from last nights storm had melted. My wife didn't want me to drive our new Subaru up the road so we walked (We needed the exercise anyway). You wouldn't be able to drive much further anyway as there is a locked gate. Great hide in a great area. TFTC.
