Sitting on the Colorado Trail, part of the Cont. Divide Trail up above Monarch Ski Resort. Sits at about 12,000 feet above sea level.

Fun hike, not a lot of oxygen up here. Cache should be fairly easy to find as it is above tree line and only one real spot to hide at this point on the Trail.

Woo Hoo! We came back, and I FOUND IT!!! FTF! My 200th geocache!! This was really hard to find. It was so well hidden and camouflaged that when I finally uncovered it and was looking straight at it, I still didn't see it. Today was a perfect day -- sunny, not much wind and NO RAIN. I've been trying to get up here all summer, but the weather has just not cooperated -- either rainy or WAY too windy. We took the travel bug, and the toy giraffe -- RockDok's favorite animal. I hope others will come to this geocache -- such a beautiful area and a fabulous hike. TFTC

I will be here July August of 2015 to check on this cache. I am guessing right now it's under 6 feet of snow.

Boo Hoo! First to DNF! Jeez Louise ... we hiked all the way out there and searched for a good half-hour, but no luck. An encroaching thunderstorm chased us out of the area. Nice overlook of Waterdog Lakes at the cache-site. I'm soooo disappointed that we didn't find it -- really wanted to be the FTF.
