My daughter & I have been geocaching for several years, so we decided it was time to establish one of our own - this is our first! We love coming to Taylor Park to ride ATVs on the many wonderful trails in the area, so this was a natural choice for us. There are so many spectacular locations to choose from in this area, but we picked a spot we've really enjoyed passing by each year - and every year we've said, "this would be a perfect spot" - so here you go! We usually stay at the cabins and make our vacation's first ATV ride out from the trading post along this particular route.
The general hide site is recognizable by the large piles of rocks that from a distance look like a bunch of marbles. Be alert for muggles; you're highly exposed on two sides. Stealth is a must!
We wanted to make our first hide special, so the original contents includes some pretty nice loot: two old coins, combination lock, 3 bungee cords, "magic" towel, trigger lock, miniature railroad spike, a big eraser, flag lapel pin, rain poncho, pocket knife, bottle opener, and of course a log & pencil.
As always please practice "trash in, trash out" and follow the geocache rules: take only one item, and if you take something, please leave something. Enjoy!
Note: Summer cache only - likely difficult-to-impossible to access in the winter.
