Short walk to NW of the Georgia Pass sign. Genrally down hill. The pass is 11,585 feet so take it easy!
The cache (an black painted ammo can) is near a pine tree, covered with deadwood. The cache contains 2 CDs, 1 VCR tape, 1 canned Moose, a trinket or two and a special Travel Bug (See Travel Bug Log).

There are two ways to get to Georgia Pass. The easy or hard way. The easy way is coming up the southeast side, following Park County Road 35 out of Jefferson on Highway 285 til it splits off to Michigan Creek Campground (Park County Road 54). Just keep going up the gravel road that is passable in summer/fall by 2 wheeled vehicles, although places are badly washboarded. Plenty of room at the pass to park and do your thing! The hard way is up the Northwest side of the pass. This is strickly a 4-wheeled trail out of Breckenridge. We have done it several times, and each time it is a new adventure. Please check with locals or Arapaho NF district ranger before attempting this route. Either way the trip up is well worth the effort.

Couldn't find bummer

After grabbing the other one nearby, I headed back this way. This one gave me some troubles as the GPSr was bouncing around a good 100 feet for some reason on this one. Eventually I was able to track it down, but suspect I should have just joined one of the larger groups versus trying solo.

Found while on our GeoWoodstock roadtrip. During our nine day, 3900 mile journey, we found caches in six states (including one new one), added 90 new counties, 39 virtuals, two Cache Across America caches, and the oldest caches in four states. Found with a bunch of fellow friends, reviewers, and lackeys as we wound our way up the mountain in a 13 Jeep caravan. Bumming a ride with maingray as well as Mr and Mrs Mtn-man. Thanks for the cache.

Signed as MG or XV, up from NC.

Wow, today was so much fun. Jeeped around here with 12 other Jeeps and soem great friends. I was driving "Blue" and there were some cool bumps to navigate. Huge thanks to the locals who helped out today, and got us there and back safe. My roomies were mtnman, mrs mtnman and allenite.

Mommy and Daddy have been carrying me with them to hunt caches ever since I got out of the hospital after being born and I keep seeing new and exciting things. This time it is a big trip from Tennessee to GeoWoodstock 14 and back. Thank you for hiding this and giving my parents, Monkeybrad and Scoot the Frog and the rest of Team STFU, a reason to show me more of this big world.

I enjoyed visiting the Denver area this week from my home in Pittsburgh, so that I could attend my fifth GeoWoodstock. Today's offroad adventure to find eleven caches on the Jeep trail to Georgia pass was my favorite highlight of a great roadtrip. Thank you to Team Red Rubicon for being great hosts to the out-of-town visitors!

Spent a week out in Denver with friends. The main event was Geowoodstock 14 of course, but while we were in town we enjoyed local sights, great food and brews, and of course the best caches the city has to offer. Day three took shadowgal and me away from our NC traveling companions and down to Breckenridge to meet up with Team Red Rubicon and Moose Mob for a 4WD ride over the Georgia Pass. Lots of laughs, a few bumps, and some great scenery were on the menu for today.

Found while 4 wheeling with Team Red Rubicon. This was by far the most fun side event I've ever been to at GeoWoodstock. Colorado Rocks!!

Thanks for the cache! Without cool caches this would have been just a ride in the woods!!
