Drive through 3 old Railroad Tunnels in Eleven Mile Canyon

1. 11 Mile Canyon is south of Lake George, about 15 miles west of Woodland Park off US24

2. Sorry, there is a $6.00 Federal Fee to enter the park. Most of the time it's by the honor system, but sometimes the gate is manned. If you have a Golden Access Passport, the fee is 1/2 price.
3. The canyon is actually nearly 11 miles long. You will drive through some old railroad tunnels.
4. This is an amazing place to take the family to have a picnic. There are lots of areas as you get further into the canyon.
5. If you're a fly fisherman, you alredy know about this place.

On our way from the Springs to a South Park Tour; it was another rest day for MTK with the Larkspur Trail Races coming up. Weather was much more favorable than the ill-fated Mingo try. We enjoyed some roads we've covered before; some we haven't; and filed away in memory some great looking vistas for when the Aspens turn. Can't wait to come back for more Smile

Huffed & puffed my flatlander self up here & signed away. The "already knew about this place" guys down below must of found me quite the spectacle !!!

Not sure about the terrain rating on this one. Quite the climb to get up there. Thanks.

Out with Displacedduck and Umpqua Hunters today. I stayed behind so I could call the ambulance if one of them fell off the cliff, but they had no trouble at all. TFTC

Climbed up to the find with Umpqua Hunters today. Hard to believe we are the first ones in a year to make the climb. The cache is still in excellent shape. TFTC!

Love the cache! Beautiful canyon. On the way back out of the park we saw a fawn and its mother. Couldn't pull out the camera fast enough unfortunately. Hubby spent most of his time sticking his GoPro in the water to see if he could film some fish. ;P Found them up near the dam. Thanks for placing a cache here. A new fav!
