Thar's gold in them thar hills!!!
This cache is placed in honor of my father-in-law who drove 1,200' miles to visit his family while panning for gold. He joined the GPAA which has three claims in this area. So the whole family went out to pan and have a great day in the woods.

I placed this while the rest of Team G and Papa, Grammy and the cousins panned for gold in Barbour Fork.

There is a neat sparkly meadow on the way to the cache.

FTF has choice of some interesting things.

Partial original inventory:

Jeffco Open Space map packet
two untrackable geocoins
sci-fi novel
History of Devil's Tower book
plastic IG Joes (yes, IG and not GI)

This is a fairly kid friendly cache, but be wary for wildlife.

Greetings from Oklahoma. On our yearly fall trip to Colorado. Drove over from Granby to find some nice, off the beaten path caches. This was a great hike up to GZ. Amazing view of God’s handy work. Oh the places caching takes us. Thanks for the adventure!

I have been wanting to get this cache since June, when I first was introduced to this area. When I got to the trailhead, it was just my car in the lot, though the road wasn't bad with much ice or snow. Later on, another vehicle joined the lot, but I enjoyed the solitude! Thanks for the terrain on this one - got my exercise today! All is still great at GZ. Giving this a favorite point!

I parked my trailer at the Barbour Fork TH and made a big ride all the way to the caches up near 103. On my way back I figured out how to get past the fence along the road to be able to ride up the steep hill to this cache. It was just about dark when I got back to my trailer. A long day of riding over 17 miles.
