I had a nice long walk today, on the Lookout mountain and Beaver brook trails - the weather was delightful, and the trails were not crowded at all - this was the last of eight geocaches that I found along the way. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Easy to spot, took a bit of effort to get to. We enjoyed the hike and the cache, thanks!

Sepfind and I started out around sunrise so it was cool a good bit of the hike. For being so near to the roads it sure is remote back here! He did the honors at the cache site. Some of the branches are breaking off. Cache replaced as found.

Parked at Windy Saddle trailhead and this one was my turn around point, about a 9.5 mi / 4.5 hr round trip. This is one of my favorite front range trails! It has everything, the first mile has plenty of rock scrambles and then it smooths out to pine forests and a few open lookouts. Early morning hikes provide about 95% shade, then mid day it is still 85% shaded which helps in the summer time. Couldn't think of a cheesy joke while perched in the tree and still can't think of one now. Nice location for the cache and the wild flowers are looking great right now. Cheers!

FTF on 7/6/14. I parked at Boettcher Mansion and hiked 10.3 miles total (to get to the cache, and then back to my car the same way). I wish I had brought a little monkey with me, but since I didn't - I did the requisite climb. Coords were excellent. My tree climbing skills leave a little to be desired - and I have sap all over my hand. I sat on a branch and stamped the log, and then slid my stamp back into my pocket. I replaced the cache as I found it. It was quite pleasant today with intermitten sprinkles to keep things cool. On the way back I ran into two guys playing golf. They were just shooting golf balls off into the woods with their golf club. Then a youngster asked me if I had seen Bigfoot.

Now for my cheese joke - I wasn't going to write it in the tree hanging on for dear life :)

What did the melted cheese say to the unlucky tortilla? Man, it's Nacho day!
