easy way drive up main rd. about 3.8 of a mile take left on a side rd it will take you to FR 248.1B. now if you want to take the harder way take FR 248.1B at a switch back not to far from the parking area you will have to cross the creek at least two times. the cache is not on the ground. it's a plastic container. you will need a 4X4,atv or a motorcycle. cache is not on the steam engine. now they put a log fence up but you can get by on the left end.

Heading down hill on my way out, so I had plenty of time to poke around.

Tried to imagine this thing running at full speed.

We headed out of town on my Friday day off to do a little 4x4 exploring up towards Argentine pass, and then see Il Travatore at Central City Opera.

That first pitch up from Guanella Pass road is pretty rough. The rest of the trail had its spots, but was usually easier. We turned around a the crossing for https://coord.info/GC2CG4K (Miranda’s Jeep Adventure #1), a T5 I wanted for my Fizzy.

We dropped down from 248.1 at the second opportunity, avoiding the stream crossings. I dropped off my All American Traveling Salesman photo proxy traveller.

Signed the log KAJW. Took nothing. Left All American Traveling Salesman. Thanks for the cache!

Sucking a little wind but still moving (ok, with rest periods). Close to 5 miles of hiking in and the elevation gain is pretty impressive. Cache was a great one and appreciate the hint! The wheel draw attention immediately! Appreciate the cache!

We were able to drive the Montero down the access road and from the last cache to this one. This equipment was really neat. This was a great day to be up here. All the snow was definitely gone but there was hardly anyone up here. We ran into a couple of ATVs & that was it.
