Came up to celebrate my friend Jenny's Birthday. Wanted to spend it at 11 Mile Canyon but they had the canyon closed off because the Platte River was over flooded due to the state needing to let some water out of the Resevoir. Having to select another area, I picked this spot because I had camped there years ago and knew it was a nice spot for a crowd.
"This guy" in our group wanted to know what geocaching was so I took him to a couple in the area and decided to place one with him once he got excited about geocaching.
We had an amazing time here, our camping neighbors were all pretty awesome and it will accommodate a lot of people with 8+ different areas in a loop with their own fire pits, as well as a larger pit in the middle of all of them. It is National Forest but is primitive...so bring the privy!
The container is an old case that staples came in (about 4" x 2" x 1") and is wrapped in camo duct tape. Please replace with lid up so when it snows water damage does not occur!
Congrats to donjill3 for FTF!
