	Puma Point

Puma Point can be accessed via the Puma Point Interpretive Trail near Wilkerson Pass. This trail is the easiest in the South Park Ranger District and provides stunning views of the Sawatch and Mosquito Ranges as well as the Park. Interpretation for the trail is provided through a downloadable brochure that outlines the plants, wildlife, and geologic features that one might encounter along the trail. Brochures are sometimes available at the trailhead as well.  Historic view from Wilkerson Pass, courtesy of the Park County Local History Archives Park at the Wilkerson Pass Visitor's Center off highway 24 and follow the signs towards the Puma Point Trail on the north side of the visitors center. It is a relatively short walk down to the cache and a nice opportunity to stretch your legs after a long drive.

I always seem to be driving and have never notice this trail, but my friend has always seen it and was excited we were going to be hiking it. Pretty little trail. Must come back in the autumn when those aspens will be glowing gold. TFTC and fun. gcpika.

I have rented a campervan for 24 days to go geocaching and exploring around the western part of the US, starting in Denver.

Today I drove from Woodland Park to Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, spending the night in Montrose. Black Canyon was my main goal for the day, and I had never expected it to be sooo spectacular, I absolutely loved it!!! It’s winterseason now, so it was even free admission. It rained before I got there, but I was lucky and did not get wet. Lots of beautiful viewpoints in there, I ran out of time, so it got dark by the time I got out, 2 hours was not enough. I could spend the whole day enjoying these views. On my way to Black Canyon I focused on finding at least one geocache in every county, plus some geotourcaches, I guess thats why I ran out of time again...

About this cache:
It took me a long while to find it, I almost gave up. Found it in the end, not where I expected it to be. Beautiful area. Tftc, greetings from Norway

Had a nice walk down the trail and found this guy pretty easy. It will be hard to find in the snow though. Nice cache in good shape. TFTC

We tried this one yesterday but got turned away by the lighting and thunder and rain. Came back today and it was a great little hike down to the trees. Coming back up was a little harder for us Hoosiers.

I took the wrong trail and ended up bushwhacking across a field, but I found this one without the hints! (huge deal for me!). Cache is in excellent shape. TFTC TNLN SL

Last one for the day and the last one for the series right now. Thanks for putting this together. Working on some more of the CSP series with Wall77, Ghostiegal and KSgator. We started it Monday, but got run out of the area by the fires. Roads were closed so we could not get to the caches. Most of the roads were open today, but we still could not get to some of them. Signed log WOGG.
