Willow creek is one of my most favorite places to go camping. The terrain is a bit difficult to drive to, so a four wheel drive is most likely recommended, although I have seen other cars there too. You could also make it a day hiking trip and park where the road is more smooth.
Pencil box is a traditional geocash with room for trackables and trades. My nephew Josh, found this location. He took his time to find a location that would be easy to get to but still a good hunt. We hope you enjoy.

Cache in good shape. TNLNSL TFC
07/24/2017 By ibgpin Geowife and I wanted to take a drive on some back roads and this cache fit the bill. We wound up driving CR 221 & 222 all the way to the end and in the process ended up helping a dirt bike rider get his bike righted after he slid off the road. The winch was the perfect tool to get the bike back on its wheels. Due to the steep hill he and a couple of friends could not lift the bike, every time they tried it started to slide a little further down the hill. Anyway all is well now and as for the cache it had a log entry sometime in 2016 but not reflected on the web site. The cache is in great condition and due to GPS bounce I had to use the hint to find it. TFTC

07/19/2015 By onetuffy This cache is very close to where my family has camped for over 75 years. Every year we have a family reunion along Green Creek. This was the first year my father and my aunt were not with us. They both past away last year. This was also the first year that my oldest sister and both of my sons came. What a beautiful day it was for Geocaching with my family. What a beautiful place to put a cache. I dropped off a Travel Bug that I have had for a while. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the CACHE!!
09/03/2014 By Badd Companie The Badd One, being out here in the Rav4 around the Fourth of July, should have gone after the cache then and gotten the FTF, but he was not the driver or the owner of the Rav4, so he did not come here. Today, he is in the rented Slightly Cheaper Jeeper, so mountain road did not deter him in the least. This is yet another neat area to explore. Chaffee County seems full of them and the Badd One is trying to make Chaffee County his Number Two Caching County (after his home county of Sedgwick County Kansas).
