Found without too much trouble, except for huffing and puffing my way uphill.

I picked this one up while in the local area during the end of the June transition month for what I called the "Freeze and Fry Run"...snivel cold at night and in the morning, sun beating hot in the afternoon. I had to go to Cortez, CO to pick up some old friends from New Jersey to act as their tour guide while enroute to DIA. Of course, I was trying to hike and pick up a few caches before they arrived. I decided to give this series a try because it looked fun, had decent D/T ratings, and was within "striking distance" after having to recover from a dead battery in my Xterra in the first half of the day. Despite some of the log entries, I really didn't think this was too intense a hike. Lucky for me, the late start was a bonus as the mountains offered shade and some much needed protection from the sun.

I saved this cache for last, as I suspected it was gone given the string of DNFs and that it hasn't been found in almost four years. I saved it for last so that I could see what the other hides in this series looked like, and use that information to help with the hunt. Despite having that knowledge, a strong and steady signal for the GPS, and doing a detailed search; I came up empty and assumed it was gone. The CO has allot of remote caches, so I hope making a replacement helps him out. The new container is a camo'ed pill bottle with a spoiler photo included. The cache is located exactly where I plotted the GZ to be, in a spot that looked suspiciously like a hide. I keep track of caches that are one year or more lonely for challenges. With this find, I now have (counting only 1 year or more lonely) a total of 104 years,9 months lonely time on 53 caches from 11 North American States & Provinces. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find and bringing me to this nice area, TFTC.

Searched for a good while with no luck.
Caching with friends RVer and Eagle eyes.
GZ was close to a creek with much vegetation
and many potential hiding places.
