Hi - I came up 376 to the reservoir gates area, and then was pleased the ol' Little S10 That Thought It Could actually did climb 379, & all the way on to this cache. Parlked well out of the way, it made the excellent jumping-off point for a first visit to this area.
It seems well worth a nod to who ever it has been: A noteable effort looks to have been expended along Gold Camp/ Cr8 at all the wide spots where the target shooters play to clear out tons of shot-up stuff, ammo boxes, etc that get left behind.


I looked over & under several hiding spots before dropping a replacement; small cammo taped mayo jar. Look where you'd have to if it was morning on Dec25th. Lots of stones to conceal & hold it safe.... less than 10 feet from where my Garmin was pointing.

Luckily I was with Rob14erguy who owns a 4WD which allowed us to park at the end of 379 near the gate. Otherwise, I would have had a long walk starting where 379 exits onto 376. We were able to park near this cache and grab Croquembouche adn c86 while in the area. TFTC.

Since my car wasn't up to driving 379, I drove up 376 and parked just short of the gate where it meets 379 and hiked from there. I think it is slightly longer than parking on Old Stage and hiking up 379 but there is much less altitude gain. This was an easy find once the 4x4 parked nearby left. The listed trackable was not in the cache and should be marked as missing. TFTC
