Hold on to Your Hat

Located along Skyline Drive. This is not a good cache for the acrophobic. Park at one of the parking waypoints or hike up one of the trails or the road from the east. Or, if you are a mountain goat you could hike up from the west. While I was scouting this location the wind blew my hat off. It was a bit scary retrieving it. Hold on to your hat if it is windy!

The area is closed from 11 PM to 5 AM. Skyline Drive is closed to traffic at night and during inclement weather. Dogs must be leashed.

Wear sturdy shoes to hunt for this. You will do a bit of rock scrambling. Gloves may be helpful. Please take the time to re-hide the container so it is well out of sight.

Original contents includes four travel bugs, a nice FTF prize, and a ton of swag.

Stopped by to drop a couple of travel bugs. The travel bug that I previously listed as missing has been found. It was just a late log. Cache is in perfect condition. Cache on!

So, not only were you a Bighorn Sheep in a previous lifetime, you must have been a Rock Climber in a previous career choice. Don't worry about hanging on to your Hat, Just hang on. Good job on the hide. I did retrieve the only T.B from the cache. It will be taking a southern journey in the future. SL TFTC

I went on a routine maintenance run this morning and checked on several of my caches along Skyline Drive. This cache was in excellent shape but a little low on swag. I added some swag items and dropped a couple of travel bugs: Multi Cache Geocoin just wants to travel from cache to cache and Go Fish Geocoin who wants to travel to caches near water.

Stopped by this one on the way up.
