This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

After several attempts on this one, I am certain stage one is gone. Based on the previous log, stage 2 is also most likely gone. This one needs some attention!

Solved the puzzle and got the first stage a few years ago. Solved the next puzzle and went looking for that stage today. Couldn't find anything.

A 5/5 placed on 5/5/5 to be attempted on 5/25? YES!!! Too bad my favorite point will make 6, breaking the 5 there, but oh so worth it!

Tackled this with sassydil and jsarche while joining GPSaxophone for his maintenance run. Although he accompanied us, we did all the finding and solving. It was nice having a Geocheck with us though! The hides were great and now that they are replaced, you're in for more of a challenge! I barked up the wrong tree and have the scratches to prove it, but it was fun. I know the CO had a great time watching us wander in circles at times and loved seeing how our logic and spit-balling of ideas solved the puzzles. He enjoyed seeing how people solve his masterpiece! We enjoyed solving it.

Beautiful day for a hike with many great stops. I highly recommend this cache and hope it isn't another few years before it is found again. Come rescue Jon's coin! Can't wait for the sequel, even though I imagine it will be much worse. Thanks again for letting us come along with you.

I head a great time watching jsarche, animjason, and sassydil find the waypoints and solve the puzzle. You always wonder if people are solving your puzzles correctly and i think they did a good job. I provided little more than "Geo-checker" confirmations of their guesses on each waypoint in order to maintain the rating on the cache. My helpers put the new containers I prepared in place after they retrieved the old ones. Some of them had weathered pretty poorly and were obvious from some distance away. You won't have that problem if you search for this cache any time soon as the new containers have even better camo than the old ones! I was pleased to see that the final container is in good shape. The stash note was a little damp, but that was the only thing wrong with it. During this maintenance run, I was re-inspired to start working on the sequel again - Cinco's Revenge. I have had an idea for a new puzzle hidden away for several years now and it seems like a good time to bring it out. Hopefully it will go live this summer; I don't want to wait until 5/5 next year.

What jsarche said and more. The initial puzzle was the easiest - and that WP was the hardest to find.
Thankfully jsarche finally spotted it and did the retrieval. There was definitely a reason we invited him along!Wink Sax had time for a nap while we searched for it. The other stops were easier to spot - until we got to the final. Excellent work on the container. I'd give it a favorite point just for that alone. I'm not giving anything away by suggesting to other searchers - go with someone else. Aside from WP retrievals, it helps to have more than one person working on each puzzle as it is very easy to make mistakes. Many thanks to Sax for having us along on his maintenance run.

I got the call on Wednesday: animjason and sassydil were joining GPSaxophone for his maintenance run on this terrific cache; would I like to join? I thought about it for about four seconds before deciding I wouldn't miss it for the world. We set out fairly early, hitting the trailhead shortly before 9 a.m. I'm sure we provided Sax with a lot of entertainment as he watched us fumble around to find each stage (especially WP1, which took us MUCH longer than it probably should have), and as he watched us fumble through the various puzzles. We took the hiking at a fairly easy pace and had the final in hand by early afternoon. What an amazing cache; great, difficult and creative puzzles throughout, beautiful hiking and views, and each stage hidden in good spots. Took nothing, but launched a GCCO Great Sand Dunes geocoin. A perfect way to spend the Saturday of a three-day weekend. Thanks to all three of my hiking partners - I had an awesome time, and giving this cache a fav point is a no-brainer.

After grabbing a new one up the road aways, as I came around the corner I spotted a fimilar car.

Its SnailMan1 and with new info on this final. ( I did not plan on this hike today)

Very nice camo and after three years "+" it had some very good natural camo over it too.

Thanks for a good one!

SnailMan1 had to head for home and I went around the old mountain and north aways to another new hide.

Ya-hoo success!!!! I got home last week and continued to review the last clue. My calculated coordinates did not seem very good and another potential set seemed better, but I could not figure out how to make the puzzle work for those. After some research and some communication with the CO I finally got the W coordinates correct. Unfortunately my N coordinates while very close where also wrong. The CO was kind enough to give me a nudge which put me onto the right track. Now with the correct coordinates in hand and with what I thought were clues in the logs and pictures I was ready to try again. This morning Hartdale and I made another attempt. On our original attempt we never did get the GPS to zero out at a good location and we did put ourselves into some locations that made us quite uncomfortable. This morning we went right to the new set of coordinates and we found the cache very quickly. Last week we where within a foot of the cache, but since our coordinates where off we continued down the hill. Thanks for the great puzzle and the adventure!!!!
