You ABSOLUTLY need a 4x4 vehicle or a pata mobile. This Cache Location is rated a 7-8 trail. You for sure need a HIGH clearance vehicle.
Plz post pics and show trail damage. We bent a bumper and the skid plates are covered in scars.
This is an amo can hidden off the trail but not to far. There is a small climb to the cache location. When I was walking out the door I grabbed the wrong cache container so the swag is more towards kids.
We joined The Two Mile High Club......not THAT one You pervs. Its a Jeep Club out of Leadville. This was our first adventure with them. We dropped CubBoy at school and met Troy and Bob in BV. Troy has done this run many times and said this was the hardest He's ever seen it. I know it was the CRAZIEST trail We've ever been on. Seeing Big Mark teetering on two wheels eight feet in the air almost gave Me a heart attack. I cant wait to go again.

After hiking up Carnage Canyon & watching 4 rock crawlers work their way through a couple of the major obstacles this section of Chinaman's Gulch seemed like something my Santa Fe could do! (not really, but quite different). We had done the upper loop of the Gulch in a borrowed ranch style ATV 2 years ago but didn't have enough time to make this string part of the balloon. I have been itching to get back here to finish these 3 caches but knew it would be a hike. My huggle wasn't with me (he hates to hike) so today was a good opportunity for me. The cache was in good shape. I don't think the other 2016 log was valid as the last signature was dated last year.

TFTC I was up this way working on a D/T rating I needed and decided to find a few more on my way back down before the sunset. I had started out the day in Vail and was headed back to Woodland Park by the great circle route. I headed west to Glenwood Springs and then south to Aspen before crossing Independence Pass to the east. I was about to add a couple more Colorado counties to the map. After realizing I was going to have a long climb to Red Rubicon Run, I went directly to that cache and then started working my way back down. Thanks for the additional Smiley face on the map. Your cache is in great shape. This was quite an adventure for an old guy who has a wonderful wife with loads of patience waiting in the geomobile.

Out with Olive today on the last day of WINTER.[:p] This is what I call an OFF ROAD. There was NO way I was going to drive the RUSHMAN truck up that road!! Made for a GREAT hike though. Olive likes these kinds of caches where she can run wild and WHIPPET!! Found all of the caches in great condition and we found all but ONE. Thanks for the awesome hides and great containers.[8d][8d] SL TFTC TNLN
