When the mining camps near Bonanza began producing in 1880 Villa Grove became a supply center. Soon the wagon and stage traffic gave way to the railroad.

Heading down the road from somewhere to somewhere else. I found this cache along the way at 3:11 pm. Thanks for the cache and for making the route more fun!

The log was just about full so I added a fresh one.

A nice dry cache in a quiet space always puts a smile on my face. Glad to add another new county.

Beautiful container, could even be used to store a few ashes. My GOS kicked in to gear as I passed this place so I turned in. If you wait a minute you can hear crickets clicking and birds tweeting. If you walk in bare feet, you can feel pricklers prickling. This looks like a nice peaceful place to be buried, though it may be a little out of the way for your loved ones to visit. Thanks for the cache. Didn’t bother to sign the log because I don’t need to leave my mark on the earth in that specific way. The hint was also helpful, especially if your GPS is finicky.
