Poolsharkycat and Imusttravel2000 are pursuing one of our interests through geocaching. Please feel free to add any information that you know about these towns in your log. Thank you and enjoy.

Carolee and Bill Schrader were the inspiration behind having these historical plaques placed in Pleasant Valley.

Bill Schader quoted this: "Originally CR 45, on the north side of the Arkansas River, was probably a mule or donkey trail. Then it became a wagon road, for the stage coming from Canon City through Pleasant Valley (Howard) and on to Cleora (Salida). In 1915 it became the Rainbow Route highway and was built with prison labor. In about 1927 it became U.S. Highway 50."

TFTC! Here for the weekend camping at the KOA in Cotopaxi and decided to grab some caches on our way to 1000 and couple of more counties. Cache is in good shape and thank you for the smiley face on the cache map.

Was looking at logs and read where someone walked past it and turned around and saw it. Just then, Kellie turned around and saw it... Lol. We are in out way to Salida and decided to get some 4th of July caches in. This is number 2 for today. Think this gives us the kraken sovenier. Thanks for placing it!
