After finding McKinely Treasure Chest I noticed that this cache wasn't much farther up the trail, so I hiked up to check it out. For some reason I couldn't remember where I found this one and it took a minute or two to locate. The container is in perfect condition, but it was uncovered. I covered it and headed back down. I didn't quite have the time or energy to hike up to Peanut Butter And.

This puzzle had me stuck on the same spot I'm sure everyone else gets stuck on. Ended up bugging Tony for a nudge and eventually figured out what was up. I always enjoy this trail and this was the farthest we'd been up it. Favorite point.

Yeah!! With help from owner, finally got coordinates squared away. Then on to the hunt. Snakes in the cache swag were definitely right on. My path was barred by a timber rattler on the way up. After leaping backwards and an adrenaline rush, he let us pass. Tftc

Second to find. I'll take that! This puzzle hurt my brain. I've seen a couple of picture puzzles before, but this was the first one I was able to solve. It took a while to figure out what I had to do, and when I finally did I kept trying to make it harder than it actually is. Finally I figured the correct procedure, but I couldn't get one picture to fit. By the time I got a "success" from Geochecker smoke was coming out of my ears.

I'm glad I started the hike early this morning while it was still cool. It's a fairly tough hike for an old guy. Coordinates were within 6 feet on for my Garmin so I didn't need the hint. (My iPhone was 27 feet off.) Found the cache in great shape nicely tucked away. I took a spider and R2D2 Travel Bug, left a 1947 and a 1955 wheat straw penny and some Get Out of Hell Free cards. Thanks for a challenging puzzle and a challenging hike.

I had to work some more on this one off line, nothing at my first try on the way up .

On the way back to parking the second try was a "SUCCESS"

Another fun cache to find for my second FTF of the morning!
