A cache over-looking the Rolling Hills Golf Course.
This is the kind of vista that gets me dreaming of teeing up the ball and the giving it a big grip it and rip it swing ;-)

Please keep in mind that this is rattlesnake country and there is no shade or water up there so plan accordingly. Regardless of what your GPSr says, there is no need to do anything dangerous to get to this cache. You can access the cache just a few steps from the top of the mesa. The terrain rating is mostly due to the length of the hike that is required.

The cache is a plastic coffee creamer type jar wrapped in camo tape. It contains a log book, pen and pencil, and a variety of small trading items. Approximate elevation is 6,180 feet. Enjoy!

Thanks, mondou2! Let me know when a pro goes up there to hit one. I have been up to South Table Mountain a few times in the past few years, but several barriers and signs seemed to make many of the caches inaccessible. I looked at the caches again, and recent logs indicated that there is a lot more activity on the mesa this year than in previous years. I took a chance, and I found that the barriers and signs are not near as obvious and discouraging as they were in the past. Though a bit muddy today, the clouds and lower temperatures made it a pleasant walk and search.
