There is a great view of the Los Ocho uranium mine from here. Really beautiful area! The cache is pretty close to the road and won't require much effort.
The cache is in a clear bottle and contains some stickers, wrist warmer, and a couple other goodies.

TFTC! I was impressed by the land formations all around this location. How strange to see fine white sand here. There is evidence of a lot mining in the area.

CB_Beauty and I were headed to the Spanish Peaks area and were clearing up route caches along the way. We were in a 4WD truck, but I believe the road is passable with a passenger car. The road is rough, but nothing too high. We were able to drive within 400 feet of the cache, no washouts or running water in any of the dry stream beds. Awesome area for a cache, both the balanced rock and near a mine.
