Near this location the Colorado Midland Railroad crossed over the Denver South Park and Pacific Railroad as they crested Trout Creek Pass and headed towards the Arkansas Valley.

The original name of this location was listed as Divide, later the name changed.

This is an easy walk from the parking area and informational signs.

The elevation of this cache is about 9500 ft.

Ooh do enjoy a play on words and I am going to choose to view this title as one of those because the primary hide feature seems rather divided itself! Thanks for the hide! The approach was a bit muddy but I left my car near the highway and got a better leg stretch as a result!

After stopping in Cincinnati for the Giga Geowoodstock, wanderw0man and I are working on the CSP geotour. It’s beautiful driving from cache to cache and the history of the area is fascinating. Was too short to reach this one but wanderw0man wasn’t. TFTC
