Back in here to find a couple of lonely caches, like this one.
Very fun area for a hunt.
All in great shape too.
Thanks for another fun find!

Parked outside of the double door garage...

I've been wanting to check out the 'garages' for awhile now, ever since we learned they were up here. Walked in from the campground since the gate was closed. No luck finding Stage 1 but had a good time exploring and watching climbers.

In this area after grabbing a new cache down the road. The lid to the first waypoint has a hole in it. The second waypoint was in great shape easy find. the road to the final was blocked off but it was a easy walk and a really easy to find final. The final container is pretty broken up and the contents were soggy. The log was wet but I was still able to sign the log. This was a fun and easy multi. SL TFTC

Trust ernie66 to find a waypoint that hasn't been found since May 2009. How could we not carry on after having found it...and what an interesting area! As we drove up to the second waypoint, I started to think that we wouldn't be getting much exercise out of this multi. My fear was unfounded when we were unable to continue down the road to the final. It was a pleasant walk with incredible views at the end. And one view particularly captured our interest. The cache was anything BUT empty! Lots of "stuff" in it that was assuredly NOT left by cachers (I hope). Loved this multi. Thank you for the adventure.

I can report today that both waypoint stops are in good condition with good coordinates. The final is there but has an assortment of questionable material inside. The last finders for this cache recorded on geocaching.com were from 2009, but there have been at least a dozen signatures in the log since then - all from muggles. I won't list the contents of the cache here, but suffice it to say that it has nothing to do with the original Spiderman theme
. One of the best comments was from a geology student at stop 2 about the fact that just underground was a contact between two formations. LOL - all I want is the F*&%#ing cache, not exposure to a contact
.
I met estes01 this morning on a quest for some old classic caches and this was one of our main targets. With the lack of interest and recorded DNF's, I was skeptical, but the cache is, surprisingly, still in great shape! The road to the final has been closed and we had to walk nearly 2 miles round-trip from the closure point, but having already found the two clues, it was more than worth the walk. Great cache, thank you!

Spent some time looking for this one. Found several places that looked like a good place to hide it, but no luck. The caves were cool. Never been down this road that far. If it's still there I would like to try again another time. Beautiful drive!!!

Didn't get to the final, but did learn a couple of lessons - the road splits at the campgound and you do NOT want to take the left, or high road. Coords at the second stop are a little off so you'll have to expand your search radius. The road to the final is NOT the road you came in on ( that is, we don't THINK it is.) Now that we are a little wiser, we'll be in better shape when we come back. Also, picked up the 'log' that was left in the first WP by a previous cacher who apparently thought that that was the cache.

The view at the end was a great surprise.
