Section 16 has changed a lot during the years.

Views of Garden of the Gods and Red Rocks were a perfect line across the horizon. The old landfill was closed off and the areas beyond it were owned by the Boch family. Perfect sunsets were viewed from the tops of the rocks.

I took a tour of the top and both sides of the valley. There are major trees down on the hidden valley but cache and contents are just fine. Tftc.

The trails on my geo map didn’t exist and we were getting ready to climb up to another valley when we spotted the prize. Nice camo. Signed log and replaced container as found. Thanks for the cache.

We met up with Back Country Horsemen this morning and the four of us began a caching hike that ended up taking almost 6.5 hours and covered at least 5 miles or more though Section 16. We ended up finding a total of 10 caches (11 for them) and had a great, but exhausting day.

This is one of the caches that we found along the way. Mrs. Back Country Horsemen had looked for this one previously, so we agreed to try to help her out today. Using some info from a previous log, I positioned myself where I thought the cache might be, and I came up with the clever container in just a minute or two. Everything is good to go with this container and log.

This is day 1304 of our current daily caching streak. Thanks for helping us to extend it by another day.

One must approach this one from the correct direction because the cord bounce will place you on the wrong side. TFTC

Beautiful hidden valley! Not the hidden valley I was expecting. I have hiked one valley over multiple times, thanks for the detour. I too, found the cache north of the coordinates posted. Very clever container. TFTC!
