Concretion: a hard, compact mass of matter formed by the precipitation of mineral cement within the spaces between particles, and is found in sedimentary rock or soil. Concretions are often ovoid or spherical in shape, although irregular shapes also occur.

This cache can be found just off the Island in the Sky trail in Oil Well Flats. Be prepared for a hike or a pretty tough mountain bike ride and see if you can find the nearby concretions.  **CONGRATS to Room1009 for the FTF!!**

Took the long way to this cache. We were up collecting stage one of a new multicache in the area. Wanted to get to hogback but ran out of time. Another day. Tftc.

This one was the next one on the list and we hit another trail that took us right to it. This seemed like this was a lot longer hike than the last three. We found it just off of the trail and stamped the log. Off to the last one. [8d][8d] SL TFTC

After visiting with nite_raven's grandpa for his 80th birthday and her dad before he had to leave to catch his flight to Florida, we headed up here to try for the other FTF!s. I knew we missed 'em as we passed Tony coming down Red Canyon Road as we were going up. Oh well, perfect day for a hike. What a fun trail and such an awesome area to explore! Crazy how the fire just completely skipped certain sections and burned others and crazy how much hasn't recovered almost 30 years later. After finding this one we continued on to the next one.

[FTF] at 11:35 AM today. This was a longer (and steeper) hike than I thought it would be, but I got there. I have a big concretion on my front porch. At first I made this way harder than it is and climbed around poking into all sorts of little hidey holes. Finally I came back to the trail and had the aha (also known as a facepalm) moment. I signed the log then sat down to rest and have an internal debate on whether or not to go for one more.
