The above photo shows the plaque that was here before someone stole it. The remainder of the description is valid except for the plaque being gone. I may replace the plaque this summer as it was pretty neat to find.

This is a 3 point multi. This cache is a driving (2 mile round trip on a fair dirt road) and walking (1 mile round trip cross country) tour of the Stinking Desert National Park ending with a nice view at the canyon rim. The cache starts at the Stinking Desert National Forest where there is a brass plaque placed here by a creative (maybe slightly warped) person describing past inhabitants of the area. The plaque appears to have been here for quite some time. To find the first waypoint you need the YEAR listed on the top of the plaque and calculated as follows: N 38 48.577 plus .(first 3 digits) W 108 18.723 minus .0(last 2 digits) This waypoint is a metal tag with partial coordinates of the cache location. The cache is an ammo can. When you get to the listed coordinates you will understand the origin of the name of the cache. Its worth seeing the plaque even if you don't go find the rest of the cache.
