So glad Snailman1 and I stopped by this one even though he had already found it. Looks like a perfect spot for a backpacking trip with my boy next summer! Thanks for the cache.

I started off on a trail and then went cross country not knowing that the cache was quite near the trail. Oh, well I took the trail back. TFTC.

Beautiful day for a 14+ mile hike. When this area reopened to hiking I knew I had to get up here while I had the chance. There was barely a cloud in the sky all day and no sign of the helicopters either. I found #5000 higher up on the mountain and had time for this one on the way down. I found the cache quickly thanks to the spoiler photo. There was some water in the container but the log was dry. TFTC

Well I'm not sure why it took me so long to log this one! It was a great adventure. We just kept getting nearer and nearer to where the Blackhawks were landing. I believe they were using us for virtual targets - hovering and circling around us. At one point, they were so close that we had to shield our faces from the dust and debris being stirred up. Thanks for the fun :-)
