In the Tarryall Resevoir area south of Jefferson off of CR 77 across from Potato Gulch Campground, take Forest Service Rd 143 about 2 miles. Park 100 yards before 2nd cattle guard. Cache is uphill to the right (NE) elevation approx 9,666. Fantastic views. Gorgeous spot. Bring a picnic lunch. Keep dogs and kids close by.
Rock climbers may choose to go straight at it. We suggest everyone else go to the far right south of the rock band and follow the forest service closed road around to the back side of the rock band and proceed up the draw north. Look for all the white quartz scattered around in the draw. Cache is an easy short hike upward to the west. Total distance from parking to cache going this route is about 1/2 mile. Cache is camo-taped plastic container with log book & items including trackable "Squishy the Black Bear." Use caution there is a 35 ft vertical drop west of the cache.

Favorite points were not being given out when we logged this cache, and today I decided to go back thru my "finds" and give some points out to those caches that think deserve one...this is one of them, even though when we found it, it was trashed. The location and adventure was well worth it.... :)

Found quickly while up in the mountains fishing. Can not believe it has been over a year since this was found. Cache in good shape with good placement. What a great view.

Well DUH on us. We (GeoKnines) went back up again to Eagle Dance and with some guidence from AUFAA found OUR OWN CACHE !!!! It was as AUFAA told us only inches away from our original location. It is now in a round car-wax metal tin and awaiting your hunting pleasure. Awsome views, nice short hike in a beautiful place. WE hope some of you get a chance to check it out. Once again , MANY THANKS to AUFAA . The GeoKnines
P.S. Squishy The Black Bear is not at Eagle Dance at this time.He is undergoing emergency neck surgery suffered during the cache breakin earlier this Spring. The main suspect in this breakin and the assault upon Squishy remains Mr. Pack Rat. A reward of one large Milkbone is being offered for info on the location of Mr. Pack Rat .
