Respite, noun: A short period of rest or relief from something that is difficult or unpleasant. We live in strange times these days and with everything going on with the virus, I needed to get outside and get a respite from the news and uncertainty. I also needed a respite from the trail after hiking up here so I decided to stop and hide a cache. Happy Hunting BYOP

Wow I really needed this respite and about another dozen on my way up. I’ve been up to the top once but that was a few years ago when my left knee was in much better shape. It’s screaming today.

Got out early on a very pleasant sunny and warm early spring day - this was the second of thirteen geocaches that I found along the way; also the second stop on a park-once-find-five excursion. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

(FTF) at 9:40 am. I woke up this morning with a hike on the brain and saw these two published and decided that this steep, slippery hike was today's goal. Time to power up to the next one before the puckering, muddy slide down. Cheers!
