A cache that's well worth the hunt!

The real treasure may not be the cache itself. Bring a camera and take your time.

It's an easy gravel ATV trail but a somewhat precarious hiding place. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Keep your kids close and you'll be fine. It's easy enough to find in a safe place, no climbing necessary.

To get started take hwy 67 west from Sedalia, take a left at the fork in the road. Look for the park sign a few miles up (use your noddle). Pull into the little parking lot. Enjoy!

Contains: rubber repair kit, emergency poncho, suction ball, rubber balls, compass-whistle-thermometer thingy, a couple of bandanas and a painting kit.

Finally got to ride out to this oldie. Obviously more muggles sign this log than cachers. I removed the food bars they leave. As we looked to the north Noddle we couldn't decide if it was Darth Vader or John Denver. A fav point for a cache we could ride too even though it's a motorized trail no one out here on a Dec Monday AM.

Out hiking with Rob14erGuy and SnailMan1 on a nice cool and clear Colorado morning.

With all the rain we been getting, everthing was green and the air was fresh.

From here the Noodles look like they came out of the same mold.

Thanks for a nice container to find!

This is a good spot for a cache. Snailman1, Hartsdale and I spent a little time here planning our route. The huge flat rock was visible from all the other Noodles we climbed, so it was a good landmark for us.
Snailman1 found this one quickly.
Thanks
Great view from the cache site

Rob14erGuy, Hartsdale and I spent our day hiking around this general area finding the "noodle" caches. This was our 1st and easiest find of the day. We could see our other noodle targets across the valley to the West. TFTC.

We wanted to do a quick loop to get some caches up along the river, so put this one on the list for a return on Sugar Creek. The smoke from far off fires has drifted up the river basin and the air was quite opaque today, making the scenery disappear. The half mile walk to the cache was uneventful and since it was a weekday during school hours we saw no offroad traffic on the trail. We found the cache fairly easily, and it had some fun swag in it. I especially like finding ammo cans in the woods, so thanks for taking the time to find a good hide for this nice box. We took The Achiever coin and will move it along to one of my favorite caches, and left yen. Everything is in great shape, although there are 2 logs in the cache. There are also 3 pens, so plenty of ink to sign a log with. Thanks for placing this cache so we can play!

Our favorite cache of the day just for the accessibility and gorgeous view. It was a worthy place to leave "The Achiever" coin. I brought this back from Narita, Japan and so far it has logged over 94,000 miles. I was holding out to put it somewhere that it wouldn't be easily muggled. Good luck getting to Sweden.

We have had a great caching day. Started from home and made our way west and south down 67 thru Woodland Park and ended up in west Colorado Springs for the night. Weather was quite the roller coaster - went from sunny and high 80s to rain and temp in 50s !! Missed the hail by one mile Smile This is day 1 of 4 of our Colorado trip getting new counties and DeLorme pages, but the main goal is to hopefully complete the 360 challenge. Beautiful country that we went thru today - the Platte was so high. Everything is so green. Did a bit more climbing and hiking than we expected - but a good nights sleep and we will be ready for tomorrow.

We knew this was a long shot - had not been found in two years. Still, no DNFs logged so we gave it a try. Looked and looked at all the places that fit the hint but no luck. Not a wasted trip though - beautiful peaceful walk. And so many butterflies Smile

I decided to come to Pike National Forest today instead of White Ranch Open Space predicting I'd have more shade. Was a great choice. Working my way closer to my 15k milestone for next weekend. I took the walk for this one and loved the view. that's quite a valley in front of the North and South Noodle head. I decided to make the South Noodle Head cache my 15k milestone next weekend. I see now the best route will be from the other trailhead. Thanks for the hide littlepirates. SL Ron
