Rustlers Loop Hike 043.jpg

Located west of Grand Junction in a popular mountain biking/hiking area. Easy access, beautiful views, very scenic.
Cache is a Plano Fishing Tackle box contains various items and log book. Can park in parking lot with public restrooms and hike to trail access, or can park at trail head and begin hike there. Very popular with mountain bikers, so be careful when you actually find the cache. Take water to drink!! Lots of wildlife....rabbits, lizards, raptors. Special challenge: there are two homes built into the red stone walls. One is easy to see as you begin the hike, the second is located on the south side of the Colorado River and is visible (with binoculars) from the cache. See if you can find them both!

Took some Stickers, and a Lizard toy, Left a couple Bracelets a super ball and a 1941 Copper Wheat Penny. Wish I would have brought my larger Geobag, this cache needs some maintenance, it's mostly junk in there, Hotel Bar Soap, papers, and ear plugs.

A good hike to the cache! Found it after a very short search! While waiting to log cache a bald eagle flew over my head! I took lots of pics but were really small. Loved the location as well. Gets a favorite point! Well done! TFTC SL

My first time on this trail. Hiking with a group of friends, which was not only fun, but fortunate for me. 2 hiking buddies found 2 caches first, we found the last one (ok, spouse did, not me). TFTC!! (and happy new year!)

Took a chipclip, left the Mew151 travel bug.

Nice viewpoint, although pretty breezy. Great little ride on way to Moab.
