Just into the wet mountains south of Wetmore. Parking is very close, but the cache is on a bit of a slope.
While out for a drive along the floor of this canyon, enjoying the winter plants and animals (flora & fauna), we realized that this road did not yet have a cache. I checked out several places, and found a spot with some deer tracks - both from a doe and a fawn - so I decided this would be just fine.
This is a canyon, so the signal was a little weak. I was able to get to about 25' accuracy. When you get close it shouldn't be too hard to find, but the hint should be a give away if you need it.

After getting an FTF on Junkins Fire a couple of miles away I decided to hike up and hunt for this cache. Since this was found last both a fire and flood have ravaged the area. I spent about half an hour searching. I hadn't looked at the hint and there was no reception here to download it. So I may not have gone far enough up the slope. I see you can still drive here if you come in from the north, so maybe I'll give it another try. It was a pretty hike from the south though.

I spent the day caching from SW Colorado to Florence. I took a few backroads and ended up finding 33 caches. The weather was great except for a brief rain. I enjoyed the scenery and the spots the caches took me to.
Found this one in fairly decent shape for what it was, which was just a baggie with several items inside.
Thanks for the fun!

The slope here is too steep for my bad knees. I'll have to try again with younger help.
