Takes less than an hour  Scenic view

A sort but steep, and off-trail, climb. When you are going up or down please follow the trail . DO NOT walk on or park on Crocus. Once Crocus turns dirt it becomes a private road and is marked.Coming down is easy to get lost but don't walk toward the houses as they are private property.
Hey, you're almost finished your sophomore year – time for a short break, time to do a little hiking and climbing.

Ever get stuck in traffic, at a light at one of the city's busiest intersections, look up and ask, "How would I climb up there?" Well, here's your chance. Park at the end of Flintridge Dr., start at the first waypoint, follow the dirt path to the second, then start bushwhacking up-hill. Who 'owns' this property? The trail is in the new Union Meadows Open Space, and from the city plat map, the hillside looks to be city owned. With no 'No Trespassing' signs or barbwire fencing, it must be geocaching territory! Nonetheless, the land just to the east is all private property so avoid any temptations to take shortcuts to get to the cache, a mini-container with a couple of useless items and room for some gold coins. (Please contact me first if you plan to drop any off.)

Estes and I were flush with victory after our find at the nearby GCWFRH Dusty's Devil; so we had decided to press on and try this one as well. Cresting the ridgeline, a Hawk swooped in and treated us to a close up fly-by. Unfortunately, he was gone by the time the cameras came out. We managed to make the find pretty quickly, Estes failing to mention she had picked this one up years ago only after we turned back to the start point. Despite its age, the cache is in great shape and is well maintained. I'm glad sassydil is keeping this old cache originally placed by Hiking Fool alive and in such great shape. Thanks for the nice hike, TFTC.

What a great little hike up to this cache, the views are amazing up here! The cache is still in great shape. Granted it had water in the container but the log was still nice and dry. Thanks for bringing me up here after a days hard work.

- I used to go fishing with Skrillex, but he kept dropping the Bass.

What fun! We haven't really spent much time exploring this open space. This cache along with the amazing weather was a perfect reason to have a small adventure.

Cache was a bit more difficult to get to than I had originally anticipated - but 100% worth it. We stamped the log, and thanks for the cache!
