Another addtion to the brand new section of the Gorgeous Peaks to Plains Trail.  I was in the area and managed to squeeze one more in along the Welch Ditch Flume trail.  Loads of people out enjoying the trail today, so please avoid prying muggle eyes while searching for this one.  Don't let the Cache title intimidate you, it's a pretty easy hide. I spent a long trime trying to get semi accurate coordinates with the canyon walls, posted coords are close, so pay attention to the hint.  Happy Hunting, BYOP!

Congrats to FTF Screechybird, who found this 45 minutes after publishing.  GO DIGGERS!

WINTER TIME WARNING: If you choose to make a loop around the flume, I suggest tackling the steep stairs to the east up to the Flume Trail first and working your way counter clock wise back to the suspension bridge.  The stairs are extremely trecherous with hard packed snow and ice, please make sure to have adequate footware.  Yak Traks and microspikes would be advisable for this first section only.  Be safe, and Have Fun!

Thanks for squeezing in another cache on this splendid trail. Earns a favorite point. Hint is helpful as my GPS had GZ 30 feet SW. Left trinkets. Knyte7

GeoDog74 does it again. This is the 3rd trail that I've "discovered" thanks to you, GeoDog. You mentioned Peaks to Plains in our messages and since I couldn't go out on Saturday, I decided to check it out today with my day off from work today (yay Presidents Day!). Tricia is up in Wyoming but her little Honda Civic made it up the canyon just fine on this sunny, snow-free Colorado morning. Kiya accompanied me on the flat parts of the trail for a couple of the nearby caches. Then she waited in the car as I did the steep part to get up to Flummoxed. She's still a bit of a spaz and isn't good on steep, icy parts yet. But she's a sweet spaz! My geosenses were good today and I had success (no flummoxing) on all 7 caches I did on the walk/hike along this great section of trail. I cannot wait to take Tricia up the section of the bike trail that is completed once the ice melts and to show her the flume section of the hiking trails. THAT was super cool. I read on a wayside exhibit that the flume was used to flow water down to Golden to make beer (oh and for agriculture - but beer was the first thing they listed - heh heh). TFTC and for another awesome trail.

FTF at 4:54 pm. Was sitting in the Arthur Lakes Library at Mines about to start my physics homework when I got the notification that there was a new cache, and decided to go for it after seeing that it was within walking distance. Coords may have been a little off (+/- 20 feet) but with the hint and description I had the cache in hand less than 5 minutes after arriving on location. TFTC SL!
