A fun cache with great views - one for the whole family to enjoy, or go solo if you wish!
This is a theme cache located on one of the classic overlooks of Colorado Springs. It is a small ammo can which contains only stickers and a log book. Please trade in/out stickers only - bumper stickers, decals, car emblems, whatever you fancy. Being that the cache is so small, though, I ask that you "stick" with the theme (pun intended!) Prime parking is available at the trailhead to this cache. Please remain on the established trail, as travel off the trail could be somewhat hazardous. The toughest part of this find is getting there. It is approximately 2 1/2 - 3 miles, with a 2500-foot elevation gain.

For some added challenge and excitement on your hike up (or down), hit Rest Stops #1, 2, and 3 by Team Jasks.

Left the North Cheyenne Canyon parking lot at sunrise this morning with 2 goals: summit Mt. Rosa before the weather rolled in and pick up a few specific higher-altitude caches for a challenge I've been working on. Skipped a bunch of caches along the way due to previously posted DNFs, which freed up quite a bit of time to explore elsewhere - after summitting, I dropped south to Pike's Cave and then down to FR 381 (recon'd it back to where the trail crosses it - it's in great shape!), detoured to St. Mary's Falls, and even finally got to Four Paws. What a GREAT hike! I had been putting this one off due to trail reports talking about bullets whizzing overhead(!!) but those must have been from the Frosty Park approach - today's hike was quiet and felt totally safe. My fitbit clocked me in at 20.15 miles by the time the rain encouraged me to go back to the car. Wish I had found this cache, but had a LOT of fun climbing all over this rockpile!

Spent a long time looking all over for the cache but no joy. Climbed to the top, crawled into the innards, scrambled all around the outside, but couldn't find the cache. :( But this gives me something to look forward to the next time I'm hiking up this way!

First attempted this cache in February 2014 with ernie66. I'm not sure what we were doing up there in the winter, but apparently that's what we do as I've never seen this trail without snow on it. Today was an exception - it was sunny and warm. After a bit of searching we found the replacement cache within 10 feet of GZ. There were two hikers that passed by on the trail below. One of them looked up at the rock outcropping we were hunting on and remarked that it would be a good spot for a cache, and she thought there had been one there before. She suggested that her hiking partner consider putting in a cache there, and he remarked "no use putting one in as most geocachers don't like long hikes." Ha ha ha! Thanks for a fun hike.

After hiking up to Thanks...RIP this was pretty much a walk in the park since the hardest UP part was done. Wizen & OR85OR450, my huggle & I looked all over the rock & boulder "peak" with no luck. Hopefully the CO doesn't mind but we placed a replacement that had been supplied to us by UMASS72 before we left the falls. This area surprisingly gets a lot of activity based on the fire ring right at the base, and I'm sure there is more around too.

Found with the Climb N Cache Group up to St Mary's Falls. Signed as "Climb N Cache Crew" as there were 21 = a 4 legged furry friend with us.

So much fun today! Beautiful hike with fantastic company! So awesome to see a variety of ages and new (to me) cachers and always wonderful to visit with old friends. There is something to be said about the relationships that build with folks when you go on adventures like this. You shared in a moment that will be a memory for a life time. That - my friends - is a moment we will never forget.

Thank you for placing the cache and being a part of our day! Awesome views!
