These rocks remind me of the old Jawbreaker candies of my youth. This is the first of a few new caches on this side of the park, at .17 from the parking, you'll need to take the trail left which heads north.  From there you should be able to access 8 new caches off of this trail(Hopefully more later).  Most of this part of the park faces south, so it should be accessible year round, although there are some steep, snow packed and icy sections of trail, so proper footwear is important!  As with all mountain caching the GPS bounce is fierce up here, be sure to be patient, and expand your search zone if need be, none of these are very hard to find, and you may even find a current theme among them. Good luck, BYOP and Happy Hunting!

Weary from finding the multi, burned out after searching for Magpie, I almost blew this off, like I blew off a couple higher up. But, it looked close, and it was! Glad to have this to cap off a long day.

Another delightful spring-like day . . . another walk in the woods . . . another seven geocaches - this was the last of them. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Thanks for the hide, Dog. My daughter was babysitting a little boy who lives nearby and this was his first find! I’m pretty sure he is already addicted so this gets a favorite from him.

Gorgeous view. Earns a favorite point for bringing me to this trail for the first time and placing so many new caches. Left international coin. Thanks for placing. K7

Last cache up here. My paranoia about a mountain lion hasn't subsided and I was a little flinch here. But no problem finding this one.
What a journey! After work I sped westward through the mountains in hope of an FTF. Rush hour traffic wasn't too bad, especially after I passed Golden. I arrived at the trailhead at 4:40 pm
A quick check and -oh no! They have been found. At least the first 4. I didnt plan on attempting the more difficult ones because of limited daylight. But now I must. The trail was steep and parts were icy. I am prepared for most circumstances while hiking. There was one point in the dark where I was pretty alarmed. I managed to grab 5 today before I returned to the trailhead at 6:50 pm.
Thanks for another amazing mountain adventure!
