Please come and trade, swap out, or discover as you please. My only request, let's try to keep at least one color of each of the JEEPS in the cache, or I will have to rename the cache from "JEEPS are Us" to VIEWS are Us."

I managed to pick this one up on the inbound leg of what I’ll call overnight Sentinel Loop+, taking the free / hard way. I’ve never been here before, so I appreciate the nice caches along the route to serve as my motivation. I managed to make it to GZ at the conclusion of what I called “Operation Suck,” straight up the trail from Trailside Cache 704C.

I was targeting allot of caches I’m interested in, but I like everything about this cache. It seems to me people get confused sometimes and think part of the hobby is trying to figure how to get to the cache, not finding a container at GZ. This has lead to a number of caches placed with what I consider bad judgment…surprising cachers by making them do squirrely things or increasing risk by creating uncertainty in dangers areas. I appreciated the extra effort in placing all of the waypoints to the cache. The route is obvious from a map, but a definite draw to make the hike instead of just driving to the nearby Pikes Peak Highway. I was also grateful that after spending the effort to get up here, there was no “squirrely, cliff-hugging” search to be done. While I have been desensitized to “views” that most people talk about, I did see allot of cool sights on my way here. Although spectacular by most folks’ standards, it was close to anti-climatic after all of the cool sights I saw hiking here. I even liked the picture of the jeep in the cache description…I think the original Willy’s Jeep was the best because it was designed so that 2 men could lift it up so that the vehicle could always get unstuck! True fact. What really impresses me is that the CO put these valuable Jeep TBs here and no one has stolen them or vandalized the cache. I’m very jealous. Sorry for the extended soap box log. While I was eating my mushy oatmeal lunch at GZ, my body was saying, “okay brain, we have been doing all of the work…how about you contribute and do something?” Needless to say, I had a couple of minutes to rest and think deep thoughts.

My last deep thought was about the last waypoint to the final. When I was coming up; I made a hard left turn, hand railed the edge, and came straight to the cache. After seeing the terrain from a couple of different angles, I’m wondering if it would have been more efficient to continue up the draw a bit more and some up a gentler slope? I don’t know the right answer, but I know that I was very happy to make the find and didn’t hike up here for nothing. As I’ll find out tomorrow, that is apparently a thing. Unlike the backlog of TBs I have, I log these right away because I’m sure I need them for some challenge I have written a note on. I noticed in Kerewin’s photo there were 6 jeeps, but I only found four.

Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache (and Jeeps!) for everyone to find and enjoy. I gave this one a rare K Trackers favorite point. The last deep thought I had while writing the log is…where is Spivey? He hasn’t logged in since 2014!

What an epic caching weekend! Covered a lot of ground! Today was all about Pikes Peak. Started bright and early with a hike along this ridge from Devil's Playground. Weather was iffy on the way out, but cleared up pretty quickly. Thanks for placing this awesome cache! Great views, and what a fleet! I included my own red jeep in the picture, and GoMRT took one of the greens, so there are still 1 of each color in the box.

Went up where the weather was iffy at Devil's playground parking for a few caches on this ridge that I have wanted, starting with this one. Made the way down and saw the small herd of Jeeps! Love it! Did take one green Jeep to move along leaving one of each color as requested. Thank you so much for this cache out here! Fav point!

We were on the way hiking up to Sentinel Peak and I had some jeeps to drop off.

Thanks for a nice hide to find!

Hartsdale and I planned on hiking up to Sentinel Peak. This one was on 0.3 miles away as we hiked by and we couldn't be that close and not go get this one too. Nice view from GZ.

Hi - a real nice fall day for a hike... my first look at things from the Horsethief area. I took a bunch of leaf color pic's; and swapped an original green jeep for the orig. yellow one and white copy. Not to worry though: I know a guy who releases tons of copies for a Jeep TB recovery project, and I wanted to show him some originals while I gather a set of all 4 which I'll garage up in this cache before too long :-)
