Need to get in some late logs- on a couple of my wife & my recent visits our internet was sketchy; and we've been swamped otherwise. I made a circuit to here & points southwest; figures another one would appear- higher up- after I was gone Shock
Last one of the day ! Yay, and I didn't even get rained on after all. I had to circle around for ever to find this (giant) thing... (What ever got in to your head to haul that up here !!!!?? )
Anyway … now the fun and weird: I get the cache page warning about making your way straight up to this. I think I scree-skied about 500 feet a minute for 5 straight minutes!! ZZZOOOOMMMMMM ! Then, walking along through the woods at the bottom, I suddenly heard music... then stepped up to a pair of feet sticking out of a hole !!!!!! Seems there was a guy engaged in very manual mining for god-knows-what... could of been digging Guadalcanal - type foxholes !!

The crown jewel in an epic chose your own adventure with RPieperco today. I will never look at this ridge or rock out croppings again the same way. Finally made it up here. We replaced the cache the best we can. Seems there may have been food in the container. Hopefully now with just a few items and a soggy log book it won't be so enticing for critters. Now to take the elevator down and try to beat the rain. Sl, thanks!

Thanks for the great cache!!! Finally!!! After years of staring at this one I finally made it up here! This was the last and final destination of an epic hike up to and across this ridge. I came at it from up above and made short work of getting to the GZ. My heart sank a lot as I saw stuff strewn everywhere! I found the log book about 20' from the cache. Several of the items even further down the hill. I spent the time to gather as much as I could and repackage it all. The lid had come off and most likely a critter spread it all out. The log book looks destroyed, but may dry out in time and be signable again. I added a small log sheet in a plastic baggie and added that to the bandages bag. I signed it and I replaced it back with a few additional sticks and rocks on top. This should hold it for now. Thanks for the amazing cache in such a great spot. Now for some downhill skiing! I LOVE going down scree slopes! Quick and easy! It took me hours to get here and massive amounts of elevation gain! Only minutes to watch 1500' of elevation disappear!

I keep threatening to change our handle to The Cachochists. I've been staring at these rocks for ages wanting to get up here. I spend ten months working on top of The Horns looking over here every day and we finally made it :-) I was prepared for the hike from reading the logs and it didn't seem too bad especially since we kept stopping to find caches along the way. I stood on top of Sentinel Rock but was unable to find a way all the way up Specimen :-/ Oh well. We discussed continuing up to the top of Tenny Crags but decided to slide down towards the car. After a few minutes there was a crack of thunder and it started pouring. It poured steadily for an hour straight and it was still drizzling 45 minutes after that when we got to the van. Still totally worth it. SLTNLN TFTC

Made our way over from Wicked Jenny, took our picture (we're #6, I think), then slid down the mountain to beat the setting sun. Cache is in good shape. We took Fernando the trackable with us. TFTC!

I picked this Cache particularly to challenge my skills as a new cacher. I can honestly say this one put me to the test, especially since I climbed the mountain from the Southeast. IT WAS SO WORTH IT! By far my favorite cache I have found. I even left Fernando the trackable up there to enjoy the view.

Out with my RMD crew for a day of hiking and caching. What an amazing adventure this has been today. as we approached GZ Or GPS's were bouncing around a little, but we did finally manage to get going in the right direction. Started looking and there it was , I told Munky that I found it he said where is it and i told him that he was standing on top of it. I was totally blown away by the size of this cache. We started going through the contents of this cache and reading some of the previuos logs as well. We also donated a couple bucks to your cause. After signing the log and snapping some photos we put the cache back in its spot and made our way down the moutain. Munky started heading down and than all of a sudden he dropped his GPS and it tubbled down the mountain quite aways before coming to a stop. Once we got to the bottom we found a small waterfall that was in a nice peaceful area. This cache definately deserves a favorite point. Thanks!

thanks for the awsome cache

What an AMAZING cache!! This will be getting a favorite for sure but I have a story to tell first... So After seeing Wendy we headed over here to check out this "little" brother of a cache. Well our GPSr took us over the wrong rock and on a cliff face that was NOT a good place to be. So after sending down a rather large boulder we shimmied our way down to GZ and began a search in earnest. I was consulting the phone(5 bars of 3G I kid you NOT!) Tony called out that he got it and pulled out one of the largest containers I could have imagined in this environment! AMAZING! Stocked full of swag Tony and I dug through the container looking over the contents in shear amazement. We donated some cash to the food bank jar, snapped a picture(number 7), and signed the log before boxing it up and heading down the hill.(A holy smokes adventure in of itself!). This cache is one of my most favorite caches ever. An AMAZING hike that ended in a GIANT cache full of treasure. Very well done my friend, very well done!
