At the corner of Highway 50 and County Road 38, the Gunnison River Whitewater Park is one of the town's most popular recreational spots. Even as late in the year as November, fishermen, rafters, and other water sports aficionados can be spotted along the waterfront basking in the sights of the pristine Gunnison River. At its peak during the summer months, this little park becomes swept up in the storm of whitewater tourism, a key industry for Gunnison every year. Come for the cache, stick around for the view!
Log and pencil included, but bring a writing utensil anyway just in case. It is highly recommended during the summer that you limit your search to slow periods of the day as the risk of Muggle discovery could be high. Please be considerate of the foliage in the park and careful to ensure that the cache's hiding arrangement remains the same as how you found it!
