I have been collecting a few containers here and there for this series, and I figured rather than make a few more traditional caches I'd make my first 2 multi-caches! I hope you enjoy the caches and the containers as much as the first 6 in this series.
Congrats Memfis Mafia on the double FTF! He must really love leftover candy!
READ FIRST: The final for this cache is near someone's backyard. You should be out of view due to tree cover, however as it is still fairly close, this cache is NOT recommended at night. Keep in mind neither myself nor Groundspeak is responsible if you get in trouble for any reason. The final cache is on public property and gives you plenty of cover, so you should not have any troubles, but you don't need to give them a reason to call the cops as it is. Enjoy!
This is the second multi-cache in the area, and I highly recommend you start at Moose's Leftover Candy #7: GC5HQFH, which will end up near the first stage of this cache. That way you can do 2 multi-caches at once!
Make sure you pay attention to the instructions for this cache, as it is a 2-stage multi-cache with a twist! You will need to do a short field calculation to find the final cache.
In stage 1, you will find the coordinates for a virtual stage. This means that the coordinates do NOT take you to the final, but to a different location instead. You will find the name of someone who is immortalized in stone along the path. Once you find this person along the path, you will want to take a bearing of 275° and go approximately 230 feet. Every GPS is different so keep reading to know the final location. You will be WEST of the river of stones, East of the two green towers, and at the base of the wall of stone you shall find a home for the final cache.
This cache is meant to be fun, but I also wanted to give it a slight twist that will introduce you to one of the many Art in Public Places pieces along this bike path. As you walk to the cache and back to your car, make sure to stop and look at them, as the kids of our town worked hard to create this series for you to enjoy!
The final cache will have room for very thin objects, but please don't try to cram anything inside and make sure the lid closes properly so the container and its contents will last longer. I started it out with several smaller SWAG so make sure you bring your SWAG bag to trade!
This series is meant to be fun, and great for children! It is not meant to be very difficult, however if you get stumped I would be happy to provide additional hints via email. This set of multi-caches should be very quick for you and a great way to get you some non-traditional caches!
NOTE: There is NO candy inside these containers, nor should you put any inside them. The name is for the purposes of the containers which you will understand when you find them. You should NEVER put food inside a geocaching container for safety, health reasons, and of course it will eventually attract wild animals. Please, if you are on this trail and you are hungry, do NOT eat my containers! They are meant to be fun and out of the ordinary so enjoy and take pictures if you'd like to share them!
