This is a challenge cache.  To log this cache as found, you must meet the requirements listed below.

Congrats Denali41 (and Orizaba) on a verified FTF!

The cache IS located at the given coordinates, however to log this as found you must verify you qualify for this challenge.

This challenge is to find 10 Earth Caches on a single calendar day! I have already put out a challenge for finding 5 in a day, which should be an easier challenge to complete.  This challenge is meant to be more difficult and will take some proper planning to do.

To find 10 Earth Caches in one day, you must find a good spot to find them, and you will probably have to do at least a small amount of hiking.  I was able to complete this down in Colorado Springs very easily, and if it hadn't been a cold, windy, rainy day I could have gotten more.  I did have to hike around Monument Rock, Garden of the Gods, and Manitou Springs to get all 10, but there are other places which may not even require much hiking at all.

This challenge is out for a reason.  I know several cachers who already qualify, and I know others who are working towards qualifying.  However, I have something planned that will require you to complete this challenge so to get it on your mind, I figured I should start with this challenge.  For those that already qualify, this should be a quick grab, and for those that don't: this is a great way to see some amazing sights and learn some history about our great planet in a single day!

As I said previously, this challenge will require a bit of planning.  Earth Caches are sometimes spread out, and sometimes you'll find several of them clustered together.  I enjoy finding Earth Caches on my travels, as they always have some great history and great information for you to take with you!  When travelling to a new place, make sure to look up Earth Caches, you'd be surprised where you can find them!

Keep in mind Challenge Caches are NOT mandatory.  Especially difficult ones like this, so if you do not wish to do it you don't have to.  Challenges are meant to be a way for you to explore geocaching in a way that you normally wouldn't, and be a reward for those who have already completed something exceptional!

To verify you qualify for this challenge, you must provide me with the date you completed the challenge and the GC codes for the Earth Caches you found.  Either set your profile to public so I can verify your qualifications, or post a screen shot of your profile, or GSAK information.  Use whichever method works best for you, but keep in mind if you are unable to give me your qualifications in a timely manner, I may delete your log.  FTF status is dependent upon quick verification, so make sure if you want to be FTF you have your qualifications ready to go!

As always with my challenges, you may stop by and do a "write note" for this challenge.  You can then mark it as found when you actually qualify.  This way if you are from out of town or visiting you don't have to worry about coming back.

This is meant to be a fun way to spend a day, and a great reward to those who enjoy Earth Caches as much as I do.  I hope you enjoy this challenge, and keep your eyes out for other challenges in the area!  Difficulty and Terrain ratings are based upon the challenge itself, the final should be easy to find for any experienced cacher.

For those who would like to do the same 10 I did with minimal hiking in Colorado Springs, I will provide you with the GC codes. If you are ever in the area, this should be a quick day for you, and keep in mind there were 7-10 other Earth Caches in the area that I did not get to due to physical limitations and weather. Also- my older sister does live in the Springs so she was my driver and my guide for the day, making things much easier on me to navigate and read up on them in-between.

Between Garden of the Gods area and Manitou Springs you should be able to find plenty in one day, and I know there are plenty as you get deeper into the Rocky Mountains. I look forward to seeing what others have done, it always gives me ideas of future trips when I take a look at where others have completed it!

While the physical find for this cache was straightforward, it took some patience to actually grab the log as there was a muggle taking a smoke break in her car at GZ. Fortunately, she seemed quite distracted by her phone so I think I managed a discrete sign. As for the necessary qualification - the RMNP geotour sure came in handy!

marmotandgoatcachers has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

I made it with 10 finds and needed only 10 of the type Earthcache

I love earthcaches, so this is an easy challenge for me. I just wasn't sure if I was going to be able to grab the cache with the nearby construction. Luckily, GZ was outside the fence.

The most recent date of meeting the challenge was on July 12, 2016 up in Oregon (as can be seen from my profile).
