I picked this one up during a day hike of MT Blodgett. I've put off coming and trying the nice caches in the area for a long time, so I was happy to finally have the chance to do so today. The temperature was in the 40's, so it was nice not to have the sun beating down on my neck even though I was underdressed for the cooler weather. I had a real fun hike to this spot and enjoyed the hunt. Despite that this is one of the lowest rated terrain caches in this area, this one was the toughest for me to get to. I came at this cache from Blodgett and moved south along the ridgeline clearing caches. Once I crossed the saddle, I lost the trail. I tried to stay on the center of the ridgeline, but wound up crossing East - West a few times trying to find negotiable terrain. On the way back, I had much better success sticking to the west side of the ridgeline and eventually managed to pick the trail back up. If my ridgeline drama wasn't enough, it started to snow on the hike back. The cold wasn't too bad, but the drop in visibility prevented me from finding an alternate route to pick up a few more caches on the way down. More Blodgett trail "Slip and Slide" for me. The CO was right, there are some great views here. I tried to take a selfie with the timer on my camera, but I managed to blow all of those shots. Sigh. Regardless, thanks to the CO for excellent site selection and the fun cache, I really appreciate it, TFTC.
Great view sans K Trackers. Sigh.

Making my way down the ridgeline for this cache after the other two before it. Cache looks good where it is for the winter months. Tftc!

We hiked up to this area from the Blodgett parking lot a couple of weeks ago to grab some caches, but ran out of time before we could go after some of the higher elevation caches. So we made the long, steep climb again today and went after four of the caches we missed last time, including one that we needed for our D/T grid and one that we needed for our date hidden calendar. All caches were dry and easy to sign. Thanks for placing these challenging caches for us all to enjoy!

One of a handful of finds with OF-Erad and Sassydill before the snow flies...TFTC SL

A Subaru can easily drive to the west parking by Buzz Along the Way #1! The hike is shorter and easier. Great views.
