This cache is placed in honor of our grandson Jax, who turned 4 years old 3 months before this cache was hidden.  Jax adds much zest to our lives with his energy and smiles.  Similar to his brother Willie, he enjoys hunting for geocaches–they enthusiastically run along together as their iPhone guides them to their next hidden treasure. Jax loves toys that have wheels–cars, trucks, jeeps, fire engines, farm and construction machinery, semi tractor-trailers, airplanes, trains, etc. To our minds, toys or miniatures of this nature were specifically created to join the collection of “Jax’s Jalopies”.  Each addition to the collection receives lots of use and affection!!

JAX AT 4 YEARS OLD

The swag/tradeables theme for Jax’s Cache obviously involves items that would fit the Jax’s Jalopies orientation. Please try to trade or supplement with similar items, so Jax can enjoy your contributions when he checks the contents each time he visits us from Castle Rock!

The cache is hidden on Falcon Ridge, where we live. We manage the property as an active farm, as well as for wildlife habitat. The entire tract is permanently protected through two Conservation Easements that require you to reach the cache location by walking along our farm roads and across grassy fields–that is, you cannot drive directly to the cache site.

You have our permission to come onto the property to locate the cache. From Colorado Highway 1 drive west up Falcon View Drive and park in front of the open (or closed) green gate at the coordinates given below for Parking. For purposes of the sign near the highway, you are our “Guest”. From parking, walk west along the tree-shaded farm road a short distance to a metal barn. Turn left just before this building and walk south across fields to the cache location. No smoking is allowed on Falcon Ridge, per common sense and per stipulations of the Conservation Easements. Access is restricted to daylight hours. Enjoy your time at this special place, and watch for the many birds and deer that frequent these habitats! Do NOT attempt to approach the cache from the south or west. Such  approaches would result in  trespass across  neighbors’ properties.

GotYour6 and I teamed up today after the Peace Love and Little Donuts event to do this Wherigo and the other nearby caches. We met Mrs. Denali who graciously gave us a tour before we began. Except for the 2 ticks I found on me, I eally enjoyed the experience. TFTC! All is well with this cache. This gets a favorite. TB drop.

Great day of geocaching with PeaceLovePi. Fun area to spend the day geocaching! Picked up a GI Joe trackable. Thanks for allowing us on your property to complete the wherigo and find the other geocaches.

Enjoyed the walk to GZ for this one as I was working through the nearby WIG. The ground was very soft, but fortunately I didn't pick up much mud. Everything is in perfect shape. TFTC

Second in my series around the farm today. Another easy walk up and shot classic cache this one! Very well stocked indeed. I only noticed one trackable while I was here, but it's possible I missed the other. I only discovered the one there currently, and as I didn't have any related swag, decided to just leave some ink on the log. Obtained the needed information from the cache that was my target for the morning, and was on my way. Thanks once again for allowing us to play here, and TFTC!

Drove here after work and got to say "Hi" to Denali41. Had fun tracking down a few of this area's caches before the sun went down.
Thanks, Denali41, for placing these caches and letting us come out to find them.

I checked on my Falcon Ridge Farm caches today before the snow storm hits, and dropped a trackable in this cache. All is well with the container, and everything is dry.

Well, with the caching handle of total eclipse moon I figured I needed to find a cache or two on the day of the SuperBlueBloodTotalLunarEclipse! We're visting my brother and his family in Windsor, and my kids wanted to find a cache that's aimed toward kids. I researched and found these three placed for young grandkids. These fit the bill great. We parked at the green gate and made our way around your lovely farm. Wow! We found the three target caches and looked for a couple of the bird ones without success. Thanks for letting us visit your farm.
