Today @WindAtMyBack and I traveled through evening rush hour traffic to Monument, Colorado, to grab a bunch of caches. This is a great time of year and Monument is a beautiful place to witness the openness of mother nature. I know that phone reception is spotty out here, so we downloaded a list. During our journey we saw one garter snake, several hawks, crows, and a bunch of smaller birds. The weather was moderated with a very light, occasional rain and constant cloud cover. Great weather for caching.
As we scoured the area for the cache a couple of protective full sized poodles stood guard and occasionally reminded us that they were watching. But they never left their yard. Well trained or invisible fence? Dunno. WAMB made the find. TFTC!

If you want to have a great time, spend a day caching with the lovable herndonrd (aka Captain Cuddles), as there is no other human on this planet that channels fun and joy like he does. When he told me he was going for eleven icons today I begged and pleaded that I could join him on this pursuit. After much whining and bribery, he acquiesced (Read: I annoyed him into submission) and let me come along. Apparently he was in a good mood because I didn't have to ride in the trunk this time.
But I digress.
This was our choice for a traditional cache today, and it did not disappoint. The coordinates cooperated nicely, and we were able to find the clever container with relative ease. After signing the log and putting everything back in place we were back in the car and off to our next icon. Thanks for the fun hide and for your contribution to a great day of icon grabbing.
P. S. No animals (including humans, aliens, or PayMeCache) were harmed in the writing of this log.

Visiting from Michigan.
This cache is near where stage 1 of a puzzle/multi we solved is so..
While trying to get the GPS to settle, a gentleman approached us. We explained what we were doing. He is also from Michigan; living in CO now. He also is a cacher - just none since moving to CO.... Chatted with him for several minutes and he wished us happy searching. (Should have asked him his caching name - he lives in the first house that faces GZ!)
Still not having much luck and then thought of something else and said 'one more minute'. Spied just a hint of the cache. Great hide!! I have this exact cache at home and am looking for the perfect spot for it.
Favorite point awarded!

On this cool and crisp Easter Sunday, April Fools Day, I decided to do a bit of caching. A big thank you to all the COs who placed all these lovely caches for me to find.
This one made me smile; fav awarded.

Finding this cache took me longer than expected this morning and I smiled/smirked when I saw the container and thought (as a mil veteran), "Yes, an apt name!" Will give this a "Favorite" point for that. SL. TFTH.
